Marketing Manager
Position Overview: Roma is passionate about finding a dynamic individual who is interested in becoming part of a creative and energetic team of marketing professionals dedicated to supporting the company's mission to create, promote market and sell our products. The Marketing manager will contribute to the success of each product line and our website through innovative solutions and by continually setting new standards of excellence within our industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops annual marketing plan in conjunction with sales department, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year and focus on meeting organizational objectives .
- Oversee website development.
- Understanding of the practices and principles of direct, print, web & social marketing, corporate branding, creative briefs process, concept development, advertising, sales promotion, current web standards (HTML, CSS, PHP etc), pre-press production, package design and product design.
- Ability to support the execution of deliverables for all projects and programs across various media.
- Manage the Marketing Department budget and delivery of all marketing activity within agreed budget.
- The achievement of frequent, timely and positive coverage for Roma Moulding Inc and its programs across all available social media avenues.
- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting research and evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data.
- Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
- Manages release of new products and pricing policies.
- Organizes launch activities, promotions, and competitive messaging.
- Lead new product introduction plans and ensure all internal and external resources are coordinated to effectively support product launch.
- Supports sales team to meet revenue growth goals.
- Maintain/ houses and updates all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Roma branding.
- Conduct quarterly surveys as a measurement tool.
- Develop a rewards and recognition program.
- Attends trade shows to better understand customer needs.
Marketing Team Management:
- Coaching and development of direct reports.
- Annual performance review set up and planning.
- Skill set enhancement and role profiling.
- Talent management of all direct reports.
- Institutes regular team meeting and one on ones to facilitate two way communication and team environment.
- Supports and motivates marketing team in accomplishing goals.
Recruitment :
- Prioritizing role development, alignment and replacement.
- Succession planning.
- Exit Strategies by timelines, budget and Human Resources support.
Reporting:
- Responsible for the departments forecasting and tracking.
- Weekly update meetings with CEO.
- Present weekly to the Leadership Team on departments goals, stats and analysis.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
- Take all reasonable and necessary precautions to ensure personal health and safety as well as that of co-workers and any other person(s).
- Report immediately to management, all unsafe and unhealthy conditions.
- Report immediately to management, all occurrences that cause injury or damage to any person or property.
- Make use of safety materials, equipment, devices and clothing, which are intended, for personal protection.
- Comply with Roma Moulding Health and Safety program and procedures.
Working Conditions:
- The standard working week is 40 hours. (hours may vary depending on business needs).
- overtime will be required
- On-the-job training is provided .
- This area carries a moderate to high decision-making ability.
- This individual has a moderate to high level of responsibility.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Post secondary education with a business focus
5 – 7 years of successful and documentable team leadership/management experience in Marketing.
- Comprehensive understanding of marketing, brand management, social media and consumer trends.
- Microsoft office skills, Word, Excel and SAP.
- Strong leadership skills - ability to inspire, motivate, create direction and engage others.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively utilize internal resources to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Proven coaching, secession planning and development of direct reports.
- Understanding of the Canadian and USA retail, supply chain, and distribution channel environment.
- Track record of improving processes and results.
- Ability to influence both internal and external customers.
- Experience with WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla an asset.
- Proficiency in Adobe CS4 including but not limited to Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver.
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer, CEO
Reporting Staff: 3 to 5 direct reports, all freelance or independent marketing agents
