Business Development Leader


Reporting to the CEO, the Business Development Leader will be responsible to generate revenue from both new and existing accounts, while building strong and long-lasting relationships with their business partners. You are the initial contact with many prospective partners and your ultimate goal is to Move, Inspire and Wow with your responsiveness, sense of urgency and customer service. You are passionate about sales and service, and you are a positive energetic person with a can do attitude. Ultimately you are a Spartan warrior who wants to win!

  • The chosen candidate will generate new business and help grow existing accounts
  • This role combines inside sales and account management
  •  You will be responsible for prospecting, engaging, and closing new accounts in partnership with our team
  • As a self-starter, you will be in daily contact with potential customers working to sell and build strong relationships and existing customers to help grow their accounts
  • You are an outside of the box thinker
  • You are definitely a goal-oriented, organized team player

  • Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
  • Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions

  • Experienced at preparing and presenting quarterly goals and forecasts for future projects

What you will be doing:

  • Prospect for new customers via phone, internet, dormant accounts, referrals,  networking and your own mining abilities and determination
  • Identify and generate new sales opportunities through data mining, analysis and discovery
  • Identify opportunities to further penetrate accounts by selling a diverse service portfolio
  • Visit prospective clients and present an overview of the company
  • Partner with internal teams to create solutions based on customer needs, including appropriate pricing strategies, solution implementation and future customer growth


  • Bachelor’s degree and equivalent business development experience required
  • Passion for sales, a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical ability
  • Willingness to travel, as required
  • Technically savvy
  • Ability to successfully working in a team environment
  • 5 years or more of sales experience in the home furnishing industry
