This October, Michelle will be starting her 16th year at Roma, as our Office Leader in New Jersey, something to celebrate on its own. Not only does she handle all of the facets of our office, which she excels at, but she also takes on organizing all of the great Roma events for the team! What makes Michele go above and beyond is what she does for our team outside of the operation. Whether it is a surprise party for a team member who buys a house, a baby shower for new dads, or just being a sounding board for day-to-day challenges. Michele has, for the past 16 years, truly displayed Core Value #4 – Build a Positive Team and Family Environment.

Memo is an all-around great guy and is always willing to help out where needed. He knows his role very well and jumps around to help others when in need. The Atlanta Team would like to acknowledge Jose Santiago Vasquez, known around here as William, as a Roma superstar who constantly goes “above and beyond”. William has worked here for over 12 years and is skillful in all areas of our warehouse operations including chopping, joining and packaging and is now honing his skills in our new photo frame department. William is also our “go to” guy when we can’t identify a moulding, our light bulb changer when we need it and our trend setter in footwear. Passionate, creative and honest William wows us with his service in whatever area of the warehouse he’s in. Thank you William for helping spread the fun happiness and teamwork that we all have here in Atlanta.

I would like to acknowledge our magnificent warehouse personnel in Los Angeles. They go above and beyond when it comes to accommodating our partners who need their orders in short notice. Angela and Cynthia work closely with the personnel in the back. When a partner places an order late in the day, they take charge and process the orders and follow through to the back to ensure that the order ships. Sometimes our partners order depending on how quickly they can get the job done and their service and always exhibit passion. I would like to acknowledge Meghan Funk for going above and beyond. Meghan is the true testament to “If you try for the ridiculous you will achieve the impossible.” Her tenacity, commitment and never give up attitude are admirable to say the least. Meghan has managed to create a terrific work life balance; she and her husband are raising two beautiful young boys together. Along with her work and home life Meghan volunteers in her community and coaches boys soccer. And just recently Meghan became part of the million dollar club at Roma Moulding. Jason is not only the leader of the marketing department but an amazing friend and steady source of support and encouragement. From his first day as a Roma family member, Jason has made a difference in the personal and professional lives of so many team members here. I would like to acknowledge Stan for his dedication and commitment to Roma. With a very tight schedule and last minute materials, the team was counting on Stan to produce a booklet for one of our largest customers. The only way Stan could have finished in time was to work on the weekend before the Monday deadline. Even though Stan got very sick and was running a high fever but still managed to find energy to complete the booklet on-time, working from home to meet our deadline and support his team.

I would like to acknowledge Yudhish. This guy has come on board and has not missed a beat! If you have a question/challenge with your computer, he is there in seconds. He continues to WOW me with his level of attention to service here at Roma.

Actually, I believe the whole IT has moved up a notch from what we had.
Ray is a breath of fresh air, always calm but gets things done

Stan has continued to inspire us with ideas and is the unsung behind the scenes who developed Olaf on his own accord and time.

My choice for this AHM on 3/27 will be Alfredo Alzamora. Alfredo has been a Roam Team member since August 1, 2002. He currently is the chop boxer here in Edison. In addition, Alfredo will also assist in the daily operation with shipping, order picking and not being asked to do so atimes makes him a very valued employee. He has had an impeccable attendance record as well over the past 12 years. Alfredo has been a valued and respected team member along with being a prime example of Roma's Core values.

I would like to give a special thanks to Jon Matthews and Roma's entire staff at the Los Angeles warehouse. Roma employees in Los Angeles like Anthony, Angela, and Cynthia go above and beyond on so many different levels. When I am in our partners place of business they often thank me for Roma having such efficient and kind personnel in our warehouse. Every order is filled timely, every problem is resolved quickly. Los Angeles definitely has the WOW factor and makes my job infinitely pleasant because our partners are so pleased with the responsiveness of our team.

I have somebody, Katherine in Customer Service. She is absolutely amazing , I have dubbed her Wonder Woman. Whatever I give her, she goes above and beyond to see that it's taken care of. She truly delivers WOW with her professionalism and follow through. I am so very Grateful for all of the assistance she has given me, especially on some if these larger orders that have taken a lot of time, planning and organization. She is a Gem, and I am incredibly Thankful to work with her.

I would like to acknowledge Melissa Gareri.

Not only does she support the Marketing Department but she also supports ALL the reps out in the field.  She also did an AWESOME job putting together everything for the WCAF Show.  During all the events at the WCAF we were privileged to experience, she was constantly asking if we were o.k., did we need anything.  She is always worrying about everyone else, to insure they are having the best time, experience, etc.., whether we are getting on a bus, getting in line for dinner, or waiting for a cocktail, she will make sure everyone is taken care of. She certainly lives our core value #3 by delivering happiness to all she comes in contact with.

Teresa is the ultimate multiple hat wearer!  I have yet to find a challenge or subject that Teresa is unable to offer assistance with.  Whether it be Customer Care, Admin, Finance, Operations or IT, Teresa can tackle it ALL!  Although Teresa’s day is mostly comprised of supporting Operations she always finds time to support all other Teams!  She is a statistical master, a rapid report processor, a logistics ambassador and an all around solid Team player!  Thank you Teresa for all of the support that you give each of us every day!

I want to specifically acknowledge Jen and Kevin, and the rest of the Customer Care team.

I joined Roma after a move to Denver, 1000 miles away from my friends, and almost another 1000 the other direction from my family. I knew absolutely nobody in the Denver area other than my husband. I will admit, it was a difficult move to leave my friends and start new somewhere so far from the people I love.

Of course I have made connections with my clients, but one of the things that has really made the difference for me in this move has actually been my almost daily interaction with Customer Care.

With Jen and Kevin, it's not just talking to a familiar voice, it's the laughter and the smile that I always hear on the other end of the line. It's the little exchanges of jokes in email and the geeky small-talk on Facebook. I barely know them, but I would buy them a beer in a heartbeat.

I've had a lot of contact with Customer Care people over the years and usually, it's all business. Flat, monotone, order taking, business. With ours, I hear the smile. I get the sense and feeling that they want to talk to me, and while in the grand scheme of things that may seem like a very small item, it makes a huge difference in my daily experience and softened my move across the country.

I think that we should acknowledge Paul Mitchell for his consistent dedication and hard work.  Paul works tirelessly every day to ensure that virtually anything and everything from Roma that meets people's eyes is unique, inspired, and beautiful.  He is always willing and ready to step up to the plate in order to knock a design out of the park, and I am confident in saying that there is no way Roma Moulding would be the company it is without the creative work of Paul Mitchell.  Even if he is a little ginger squirrel.

I would like to acknowledge Angela Favela in our Los Angeles warehouse. It isn't one event that I would like to acknowledge but rather her accumulative day to day efforts of engaging our customers both on the phone and in our warehouse. Angela goes far and above to insure that our customers are taken care of efficiently and pleasantly. When problems arise or there is a tight deadline to get an order out for our customer she goes the distance to insure that it happens. When I am out in the territory many of our will call partners comment on how well taken care of they are when they pick up their order. With all of the parts working as a whole, in sync with our core values, and in the right direction it is a beautiful accomplishment. Angela exceeds at making this happen.

It has to be JOEY! I on a daily basis can't tell you how many times put in orders and everything is in-stock.  Every one should realize how incredible this is.

Our jobs in the field can't function without stock, and Joey, so humbley seems to not take much credit for what he does to allow us to hang on to orders because of his efforts.  There are so many orders that would be lost if full and complete orders were not being shipped out of our different locations.

Again, for him to set goals for himself and his team that seem to be WAY above industry standards and to achieve or be very close is mindblowing!
