Roma Wish is our way of giving back to not only the communities
we live and play in, but also the whole world we all share. Thanks to
the generous support of our team members, partners, family
and friends we’ve been able to profoundly affect many lives
through Roma Wish. We are extremely excited to invite our partners to join us on the mission, so we can make an even larger impact.
This August, the largest Roma Wish Team yet is heading to Beards Fork,
West Virginia for our 2017 mission. Read on to learn more!
“One of poorest regions of the nation, where men and women die younger than other Americans, Appalachia is faced with real challenges; there is a documented epidemic of drug addiction, cancer, alcoholism and depression. And yet, everywhere in these hills, there are so many people filled with courage and hope.”

WHAT WE’RE DOING
Making a Difference
Deep in the rolling hills of West Virginia, our team will be repairing and renovating former coal-company houses and other community buildings while mentoring students on positive work habits and skills. In a unified, integrated curriculum, the “at-risk” youth and young adults complete their high school education and learn a trade through a local YouthBuild program. Our team will be modeling a strong work ethic at the service project sites, sharing our own failures and success stories, encouraging and enabling the Appalachian youth to strive for high personal work and educational goals, and helping them envision a dynamic future.
